Jimcarroll_02m_2 An American by the name of Jim Carrol, futurist and trends & innovation expert, seems to be experienced in the healthcare sector US. On his blog he gives a description of ten trends that apply to the healthcare and pharmacutical industry:

1. A transformative shift - Personalized medicine drives the agenda
2. Knowledge growth becomes exponential; pace of innovation / discovery picks up
3. Discovery moves offshore
4. Theory into practice becomes the primary focus
5. Skills fragment and a battle for skills drives decisions
6. Complexity partnerships take on an increasing role
7. Bio-informatics emerges, core competence becomes critical
8. Bio-connectivity becomes the next big thing
9. Hospitals get “de-physical”, customer service comes to the industry
10. Generational attitude transforms the system

Do these trends also apply for Benelux or is this specifically a US thing?
